New cousin

So Samantha got a new cousin last week Kendall Ann. She is precious. Sam got to meet her on Saturday. We all went over to Erik and Sarah's house to see the newest addition. Sam was pretty interested in their dog Jammer and playing with Aly. We kept showing her baby Kendall. Funny enough Dan is trying to get her to call her Cousin Kendall. He likes the ring to that better as so far Sam has been Baby Sam. I wonder when that stops?

Sam's favorite shirt and wacky hair day

So Sam officially has a favorite shirt. It is a purple shirt with a dog on it and we all know how much she loves dogs so this is really no surprise. But I have to now hide that shirt at the bottom on her dresser so I can go a few days each week until she finds it. She loves to wear that shirt with her jeans. She is getting very opinionated about what she wears. She likes to dig in her dresser for what she wants to wear. Very cute.

So last Friday she found her favorite shirt and it was wacky hair day at school. Well her hair doesn't really do anything wacky so I put it in a ponytail and a bow per her request. And thought she looked so cute sitting on my bed eating breakfast that morning while I finished getting ready to go to work, so I grabbed the camera and took a few pictures. We have a whole routine down in the morning.

Soon to be family of 5......

Yes right now we are a family of four, me, Dan, Sam and Chewy...Yes we absolutely consider Chewy a member of the family. So in September Dan and I will be welcoming baby #2 into this world. We are right now at 12 weeks and thrilled, excited, nervous, etc....

Here it became official. WE really could not believe it.

Here I am at 4 weeks prego. I am popping out much faster this time.

Here I am just last night..I am right at 12 weeks...I am already into maternity clothes. Thanks goodness my dear friend Kim gave me all her clothes as I really didn't have much last time. So it has been nice to dig in and see what all I have.

So far this pregnancy has been very different from my first. I was sick as a dog from week 5-9ish to the point I ate one english muffin a day and morning sickness is awful. I wore sea bands and got anti nausea medications. All I wanted to do was sleep. But now I am over it (knock on wood) and am eating like a champ. Which is a good thing since I lost 5 pounds. I am back tow here I started. Kinda funny that at this point with Sam I had already gained like 6 pounds. So we are hoping to keep the weight gain to a normal amount this time. Either way I will do whatever I have to get another happy healthy baby...45 pounds wasn't so bad right?

So last night we were folding and putting away laundry and Sam decided she wanted to try on my running shorts.. So in a silly moment we let her and helped her get them on and tie them as tight as we could around her waist. Silly Sam!!

Sam and her illnesses.....

Well over the past 4 weeks Sam has gotten several illnesses. First she got the barfing bug, then she got RSV/croup, then she had a double ear infection with lots of congestion and most recently this weekend she had explosive diarrhea. Poor Sam.... She seems to be on the mend and we are hoping she is illness free for a long time.

Pump it up again!!!

Well it is official we love pump it up..What a fun place to have a birthday party. It is by far one of Sam's favorite places to go. A few weeks ago we went to our dear friends Kim's little boy Justins birthday party there. We had a lot of fun. I did say "we" as I am including both Dan and I. We love to play and take Sam up all the slides and bounce houses. Also it was nice as my brother and sister in law and niece Aly were there too.

Here is Sam and Dan going down the slide together. We did try and send Sam down once by herself. She did not like it at all. So for now she will continue to go down the slide with either myself or Dan...Or my dear friend Kristin who Sam loves going down the slide with.
