2 year statistics

Samantha had her 2 year well-child check up this morning. Well she needless to say SCREAMED at the doctor the entire time he was in there (unless I was holding her facing away from him) and then as he was leaving she perked up, stopped yelling, smiled and waved and said "bye bye" to him. Then when the nurse came in to give her her one shot she barely got upset..How random..

Here are her statistics
Weight 30.5 pounds which is 90%
Height 35.5 inches which is 95% which also means they are estimating her height at 5 foot 11 inches..hmmm sounds familiar
Head 19.3 which was 95%
On her physical exam they wrote - Tall Girl
On her development exam they wrote - Great Speech - (I wonder if that was because while she was screaming she was saying full sentences like "I don't like it!")….

Overall she is doing great we just really need to work on eating habits so we have some new suggestions and will be working on her eating protein (aka meats) and veggies….
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Some fun pics of Sam

Here are a few pics of Sam from the past 2 weeks..

Sam's Grandma was able to get Sam's hair up in pigtails one afternoon while they were playing with her. I am always amazed that she sits still long enough for her to do that.

Sam trying Mommy's sunglasses on on Mothers Day. She wants to be just like her Mommy when she grows up..hahah
We got Sam a fun water sink outdoor toy to play with (a little early birthday present) and Dan put it together last Sunday afternoon and she proceeded to play out in the front yard with it for hours. She loves it. I thought she might get some sun so I put a cute little hat on her. She never seems to leave things on her head but she left it on the whole time. Awww she looks so cute in a hat...

Random thoughts on Vegas

So a few random thoughts about Vegas to finish out my Vegas posts.

1. There was so much smoking it was unreal. I had no idea that many people smoked and they all seem to go to Vegas. Crazy.

2. Being 5 months prego was not the ideal time to go to Vegas as there is a lot of walking but I really didn't seem to mind until it came time to find a restroom. And if you have ever been prego you know it happens a lot. I swear the bathrooms were always down these crazy long hallways. They made them so inconvenient. I always had to prepare myself for the 5 minute journey down the hall to go.

3. And yes I sometimes feel like a 12 year old kid but seeing a telephone in the toilet part of the bathroom in the hotel room still makes me giggle. I so wanted to prank call people from the bathroom but I refrained.

4. And one final note if you get locked out of your hotel room at the middle of the night lets just hope you are not naked. That happened to our dear friends Kelli and Kerri's neighbor the first night in Vegas and really how do you call security to tell them there is a naked man in the hallway at 5AM and keep a straight face...

VEGAS for Anne's wedding.

We were in Vegas for this past weekend for my dear friend from college Anne's wedding. It was so much fun and such a great place to get married. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and man that place was huge. The wedding was at Four Seasons which was stunning.

Here are a few pics from the wedding activities:

This is Friday night after the rehearsal I got to hang out with the girls while Dan went out with some of his guy friends who were in town the same weekend. We went to the House of Blues Foundation Room and what amazing views they had up there.

Dan and I sitting down at our table eating dinner. The wedding was near a fountain on the property and the reception was surrounding the pool. What a beautiful setting.

The bride and groom with the girls. Anne looked amazing...

Dancing at the reception with Coops' mom. It was so windy but it didn't seem to bother us.

Dan and I left the reception around midnight as we had a 7 AM flight the next morning. I was able to get a picture of me and Anne right as we were saying bye to leave. What a fun wedding!!

Celebrating our 4th Anniversary in VEGAS!!

So we were going to be in Vegas for my dear friend Anne's wedding this past weekend and our anniversary isn't until the 20th so we decided to go ahead and celebrate our anniversary on that Thursday night of our trip. We had dinner at Bobby Flays restaurant Mesa Grill then on to see the show LOVE. It was a lot of fun with many fun memories. I proceeded to embarrass myself (but really what is new with that) and we also stalked Bobby Flay who happened to be in the restaurant that night for a charity event and I also took a quick snooze while waiting for the show to start on Dans shoulder (yes he had to wake me up when the show started), etc... The food was fantastic... I took a few pics..

This was the appetizer we chose. It was a goat cheese queso fundido..I twas quite yummy...I will admit not a huge fan of goat cheese but this was quite yummy.

I was not super hungry since this was my 4th meal of the day so I ordered an appetizer as my entree and it did not disappoint. I got the Tiger shrimp and roasted corn tamale. It was so yummy. I swear I was licking the sauce off the plate.

Dan got the New Mexican spice rub pork tenderloin. I twas quite yummy and a lot of meat. he could not finish it all.

So we sat there for a few hours enjoying ourselves and after sitting waiting to catch a glimpse of Bobby Flay we decided to order dessert. We decided to get Warm Apple Pie. It was fine but the ice cream that came with it was the most unique ice cream we had ever tasted. It was vanilla cinnamon with ginger in it...WE ate it trying to figure out what was in it...And then we ran out. Darn that was yummy.

The show was amazing. There was so much to see and of course the Beatles Music was awesome. AT times it was overwhelming as you couldn't decide what you should be looking at. We had great seats and enjoyed it.
