Sam channeling her inner runner...
So last night we were folding and putting away laundry and Sam decided she wanted to try on my running shorts.. So in a silly moment we let her and helped her get them on and tie them as tight as we could around her waist. Silly Sam!!

Sam and her illnesses.....
Well over the past 4 weeks Sam has gotten several illnesses. First she got the barfing bug, then she got RSV/croup, then she had a double ear infection with lots of congestion and most recently this weekend she had explosive diarrhea. Poor Sam.... She seems to be on the mend and we are hoping she is illness free for a long time.
Pump it up again!!!
Well it is official we love pump it up..What a fun place to have a birthday party. It is by far one of Sam's favorite places to go. A few weeks ago we went to our dear friends Kim's little boy Justins birthday party there. We had a lot of fun. I did say "we" as I am including both Dan and I. We love to play and take Sam up all the slides and bounce houses. Also it was nice as my brother and sister in law and niece Aly were there too.

Here is Sam and Dan going down the slide together. We did try and send Sam down once by herself. She did not like it at all. So for now she will continue to go down the slide with either myself or Dan...Or my dear friend Kristin who Sam loves going down the slide with.

Sam and Aly dancing around and running around. They were really funny together. And of course Sam wants to be wherever Aly is..

My brother Erik and Aly finishing the obstacle course and getting ready to come down the last slide.
Erik and Sam sticking their tongues out at each other. They really have a lot of fun together.
Sam with her Aunt Sarah. Sam loves her Aunt Sarah very much.

Chewy
Well we also had a little bit of excitement one night between Christmas and New Years Eve. WE had my old boss and his wife over for dinner one night as we hadn't been able to get together in a while. We had ordered pizza (yes I totally wussed out of cooking but only because I ran out of time) and eaten and had some wine and where going to show them around the house since they hadn't been over in over a year and never seen Sam's room or really upstairs. So we showed them Sam's room and my old boss went into the kitchen to put his wine glass down and Chewy ran around the other way and they literally ran right into each other and breaking Chewys leg all the way through both bones. Poor Chewy. My old boss and Dan rushed her off to the emergency vet. Then the next day we took Chewy to a surgeon where we had a plate put in her leg to stabilize it. Poor thing has had to wear a cast and a cone for almost 5 weeks. She is now done with both but still on very restricted activity although she tries to get away with a lot more..
This is Chewy the next morning after it happened in her first cast.
Here she is post surgery with her new cast and cone. She HATED that cone. But now the cast is off and the cone is off and she is well on her way to a full recovery.
Finishing up updates from 2009..
So we already told you all about Christmas Eve but I had a few more pictures to share and then we can move on to Christmas Day...
After baths both girls got into their Christmas pajamas. Aly loves to give Sam hugs and Sam loves it!!
Okay so now it is Christmas Day. We opened presents from Santa and us at our house by ourselves first thing. Sam still didn't quite get it but had fun none the less.
Sam got a Hello Kitty purse and loves it..She had been going through all my purses and carrying them around for some time so thought it was time for her to have her own..
Sam also got some flash cards for Christmas and she loves flash cards...She will dump out the entire box and dig through for one in particular..Lately it has been airplane. She can also say her numbers and identify them 1 through 8 she gets confused on 9 and 10 but still working in it..And she knows all her colors...Not sure why be she is very fascinated with the white crayon in the box. Silly kid.
After opening gifts at our house we got ready and headed over to our annual Christmas brunch at my brother and sister in laws house..I love this event every year. My sister in laws puts on an amazing brunch. Also we did away with gifts for the adults 2 years ago and do a white elephant gift exchange and we separate it by male and female and that is always fun for a good laugh too. Gosh I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family!!!
Here Sam is playing with Alyson's new grocery cart although Sam thinks it is a stroller to put dolls in. We could not get that blanket and bottle away from her for a very long time..She had so much fun.
Sam and Aly eating at their very own table for Christmas brunch. Pretty soon another seat at that table will be filled with my brother and sister in laws baby #2 due in March. We are so excited for them.
Daddy, Sam and fun with STICKERS!!
So one night a week or two ago (they all seem to be running together at the moment) Sam was not ready for bed at 7:30 her and Dan headed upstairs to run around and play for another half an hour before real final bedtime at 8pm. It was kinda quiet up there but I didn't really pay too much attention as I was switching laundry, picking up the kitchen and living room and getting us all ready for the next day school and work. So low and behold around 8pm Dan came down the stairs carrying Sam and I noticed some spots on his clothes but couldn't quite see what they were from a distance.

Yes apparently Sam had taken all the stickers in one of her books and put them all over Dan.. I just cracked up. Poor Dan...He just laughed... She loves stickers but we are going to have to keep them all under wraps unless supervised so they don't end up on furniture....
